Raw Linen Shopper pattern English/US terms

For al you plastic haters out there, the English pattern of my Raw Linen Shopper is now online! :)

Material: Borgo de Pazzi Raw Linen. 300 gr.

Crochet hook size: 4mm en 5mm.

Abbreviations: (US)

Ch: Chainstitch

Hdc: Half double crochet

Rnd.: Round/row

Sl.st.: Slipstitch

St.: Stitch

Dc.: Double crochet

Sc.: Single crochet

Start your bag with hook size 5mm.

1.       Crochet 52 ch.

2.       Work 1 hdc in third ch. From hook. Crochet 1 hdc in each ch. Crochet 3 hdc in the last ch. (This is were you go around the corner to the other side.) Crochet 1 hdc in each ch. At the end of this side crochet 2 hdc in the last ch and close the round with a sl.st in your first hdc.

3.       Ch. 1. Crochet 2 hdc in the first st. Crochet 1 hdc in each st untill you reach the 3 hdc at the end of this side. In these 3 hdc you have crochet 2 hdc in each stitch. Crochet 1 hdc in each st untill you reach the end (the 2 hdc from last round.) Crochet 2 hdc in both of the last 2 hdc from last round. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

4.       Ch. 1, 1 hdc in every stitch. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

5.       Ch. 1, 1 hdc in every stitch. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

6.       Ch. 1, 1 hdc in every stitch. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

7.       Ch. 1, 1 hdc in every stitch. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

8.       Ch. 1, 1 hdc in every stitch. Close the round with a sl.st. in the first st of this rnd.

Proceed with hook size 4 mm.

9.       Ch. 3, Crochet 1 dc in the same stitch as where you’re chain comes from. * skip 1 stitch, 2 dc. In the next stitch*. Repeat ** until you reached the end of the rnd. Close the round with a sl.st. between the chain of 3 and the first dc.

10.   Ch. 3. Crochet 1 dc in the cluster of the 2 dc’s from the last round. ((At the same spot as ‘where you closed the round with a sl.st. *Crochet 2 dc. In every cluster of 2 dc’s from the last round.* Repeat **.

11-36    Repeat round 10.

Proceed with hook size 5 mm.

37-40    Ch. 1, Crochet 1 hdc in every stitch.

41.         Ch. 1, Crochet 1 sc. In every stitch.

Proceed with hook size 4 mm.

You will now start with the handle.

42.         Ch. 1, Crochet 11 sc. Turn your work around.

43-137  Repeat round 42.

Now your bag is almost finished! Tie off, but keep a long thread on your work. With this thread you can sew the handle to the remaining side of your bag.
